Glass Suggestions:

• Cathedral glass for all the colored sections (it lets the light sing through those ambers, greens, and blues)

• Opalescent glass is a lovely option for the border pieces if you'd like a softer, more diffused edge

• 60/40 solder

A Few Tips Before You Start:

• Cut your straight lines first and build confidence before moving to the chevrons. The rectangular grid sections in the upper half are a great warm-up.

• Use a straight edge or cutting guide for the rectangular sections — it makes a real difference in how cleanly everything fits together.

• The diagonal chevron cuts require a steady hand. Score each line in one smooth, continuous motion rather than stopping and starting; hesitation can cause the glass to wander off your intended path.

• Take your time with the fit before you foil or came. A dry layout on your pattern is always worth the extra few minutes.
