Come spend an hour in the hot shop and learn how molten glass becomes finished art. You’ll watch Ed and Taylor (grandfather & grandson) working together as a team while they demonstrate making blown glass pieces like pumpkins, bowls, and vases—with time for Q&A.

There is something magical about the moment the furnace heats up and a glowing gather of molten glass begins to take shape. Whether you have been with us for years or you have been watching from your screen and thinking "I want to try that someday" — your someday is now.

Stained Glass Classes

From your very first cut to your finished panel glowing in the window, our stained glass workshops walk you through the Tiffany copper foil method and the Old English method step by step. All levels are absolutely welcome — no experience needed, just curiosity and a love of color. We have classes from beginner to advanced.

Glassblowing

Step into the hot shop and work beside Ed and Taylor at the furnace. You will gather molten glass, shape it with breath and motion, and leave with a one-of-a-kind piece you made with your own hands. Ornaments, bowls, flowers — the magic never gets old.

We have something a little different to share with you today — and honestly, it's one of our favorite things we've put out in a long time.

Starting right now, Ed is doing a new weekly series on the ARTyRV YouTube channel called In the Studio with Ed.

No editing. No lesson plan. No polished tutorial structure. Just Ed, talking you through exactly what he's doing and why — in real time, as he builds.

The idea came from something we noticed: some of the most valuable conversations happen when a student is standing right next to Ed at the bench, watching his hands and asking questions. There's a kind of honesty in those moments — the problem-solving out loud, the instinct built over decades, the small decisions that never make it into a formal lesson. We wanted to capture that.

So that's what this is.

Episode 1 dropped today. Ed walks through his process for building a Prairie-style stained-glass window — the glass selection, the rhythm of cutting and fitting, and the thinking behind it all. It's raw, it's real, and it's exactly how he actually works.
