One-Day and Two-Day In Person Workshops

We offer in-person workshops at Conway Glass in Conway, SC, for those who want a more hands-on approach. Our workshops are designed to be a fun and immersive experience that allows participants to learn stained glass art in a supportive and encouraging environment. We offer workshops for beginners and those with more advanced skills. Our workshops cover various topics, including glass cutting, soldering, and design.

Leadlight Construction Workshop

First up, we have our Leadlight Construction Workshop. This class is perfect for those interested in creating intricate leadlight designs. You will learn the art of leadlight construction, including cutting and mitering lead, soldering techniques, reinforcement, and finishing. This two-day workshop will give you the skills and knowledge to create beautiful leadlight pieces.

Beginner Stained Glass Workshop

Next, we have our Beginners Stained Glass Workshop. This class is great for stained glass students who want to learn the basics. You will learn to cut and shape glass, use copper foil, solder, patina, and finish. By the end of the class, you will have created your own stained glass sun catcher to take home.

Stained Glass Beginner Workshop

Stained Glass Make and Take

Finally, we have our Stained Glass Make and Take Class. This fast-paced four-hour class is perfect for those who want to create a small stained glass piece. You will learn the basics of stained glass construction, including shaping glass, soldering, and finishing. Due to time constraints, we will not teach glass-cutting skills in this class. All glass pieces are pre-cut. You will have access to all the tools and materials you need to create a stunning suncatcher.

Ed Streeter, an experienced instructor passionate about stained glass, teaches our classes and workshops. He will guide you through the process step-by-step, providing tips and tricks to help you achieve a beautiful final product.

Leadlight Construction April 22 & 23

Designed to provide a solid foundation in the basics of stained glass leadlight (lead came) stained glass work. Prior glass cutting experience is necessary.

Beginner Stained Glass Workshop May 20 & 21

This workshop teaches you the fundamentals of working with glass. You will understand how to cut, shape and assemble glass pieces into beautiful works of art. No experience necessary.

One-Day Make & Take

This Workshop will teach you how to turn scrap glass into glass birds and flowers with their own personality. Details coming soon! No experience necessary.
